Grapevine Pruning Strategy Affects Esca Disease Symptomatology, Wood Mycobiome and Pathobiome

The goal of this study was to evaluate how 40-year-oldcommercial vineyards in the Cognac region, France, that were trained for their entire lifespan toeither Guyot Arcure (severe pruning) or Guyot Poussard (minimal pruning), affected escasymptomatology. In addition, we aimed to assess the effect of pruning practices on pathobiomeand mycobiome of asymptomatic grapevine using both culture-based and amplicon-basedIllumina sequencing approaches.
