Transcriptome analysis reporting genes that are differentially expressed as a result of knockout of the gene ATF4. Overall design: Lenses were isolated from wildtype and ATF4 knockout mice at E16.5 by microdissection (5 biological replicates of wildtype, 4 biological replicates ATF4 knockout). Total RNA was isolated, cDNA libraries were constructed using Takara SMARTer Stranded Pico v2, and sequencing was performed using Illumina NovaSeq 6000 (DNA Link USA, Inc). The goal was to understand the role of Atf4 in the embryonic lens at E16.5. Each library was sequenced across 4 flow cell lanes.
