Replication Data for: Affective Polarization After Devastating Earthquakes: Lessons from Hatay and Kahramanmaraş in 2023 Elections

Current dataset covers post-election field survey conducting earthquake-affected region namely Hatay and Kahramanmaraş. Utilizing representative sample that employed multi-structured, probability and proportionate to size, we conducted face-to-face interview with (n=550) respondents. Our main purpose is to investigate how and why electoral support on the incumbent party (both President Erdoğan and his People's Alliance) still persistent across these cities that harmfully struck by earthquakes. Research results reveal that voters are more inclined to perceive high-government stability for earthquake challanges and those are more likely to support incumbent party. Results also confirm long-lasting political fault-lines by gathering empirical evidence for affective polarization among respondents.
