Complete mitochondrial genome of Teredo manni , a threat to the mangroves

We report the complete mitochondrial genome of the Teredo manni, which is widely distributed in South China Sea and threatening the survival of the mangroves, using a specimen collected from Hainan, China. The mitogenome was 17157 bp in length and contained 12 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, 2 rRNA genes. Phylogenetic tree was constructed based on COX1 of 14 species, the tree revealed that Teredo manni was more closely to Nototeredo norvagica. The analysis results based on maximum likelihood method provide a useful resource for the phylogenetic studies of family Teredinidae.
