Dynamic membrane bioreactor DMBR for the treatment of landfill leachate

In this study it was investigated the use of dynamic membranes as an alternative for conventional membrane for the treatment of landfill leachate (LFL). Experiment was performed in a lab-scale, submerged pre-anoxic and post-aerobic bioreactor which used nylon mesh as dynamic membrane support. The study was performed at room temperature and LFL was fed to the bioreactor in increasing concentration mixed with tap water (from 20% to 60%).
