After experiencing a ransomware attack, roughly 46 percent of organizations worldwide paid up to get their encrypted data back. Survey data from January and March 2023 found that two percent of the affected companies used other means, while 70 percent used backups to regain access to their data. Overall, 97 percent of companies got their data back after a ransomware attack.
