Survey of Suppressed X-ray Emission from Super-Eddington Accreting IMBHs

A substantial fraction of accreting IMBHs show suppressed Xray emissioncompared to the expectation from the active galactic nuclei (AGNs) accretiondiskcorona connection. They also show unusally strong Xray variability. Wepropose a systematic XMMNewton survey (825 ks exposures) of the 14 extremelyXray weak (by factors of >10) accreting IMBHs selected from previous Chandrasnapshot coverage. We aim to identify largeamplitude Xray variability andcharacterize Xray spectral properties.
