This study determines the whole genome sequence of a novel a TCE-to-ethene dechlorinating bacterium, Dehalococcoides mccartyi strain NIT-OBY that isolated from trichloroethene(TCE)-contaminated soil.The strain NIY-OBY also dechlorinates 1,3-dichloropropene to propene.
