This study aimed to evaluate the distribution of six VEGFA polymorphisms (rs1570360, rs699947, rs3025033, rs2146323, rs1413711, rs833061) and measure serum VEGFA concentrations in Lithuanian individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS) compared to a healthy control group. The study involved 270 MS patients alongside 270 matched healthy controls. Genotyping was conducted utilizing real-time PCR (RT-PCR). Statistical evaluations were performed using IBM SPSS version 31.0. Serum VEGFA levels were quantified through enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
