Developing high-quality tourism in Guangxi is pivotal to fostering local economic growth. This study utilizes index data related to tourism development in Guangxi from 2010 to 2021, employing a spatial Durbin model to examine the spatiotemporal effects of the tourism economy. Additionally, Geodetector analysis is applied to identify the primary and secondary influencing factors, as well as interactive effects, on tourism economic development. The results show that: (1) Tourism economic income in Guangxi exhibits a negative spatial correlation. (2) All explanatory variables contribute positively to tourism economic income in both local and neighboring cities. (3) The total number of tourists, the quantity of A-level and above scenic spots, and the number of tourism-related enterprises are the core determinants of tourism economic income. Tourism development is the outcome of synergistic interactions among multiple industries and stakeholders. Regional coordinated development can stimulate local economic growth while enhancing residents' income and consumption capacity. This study clarifies the hierarchical factors influencing tourism economic income in Guangxi and quantifies the degree of influence and explanatory power of various variables on local and surrounding tourism economies. The results provide practical insights for Guangxi to achieve regional collaborative development, resource integration, iterative upgrades in tourism products and supply models, and ultimately establish itself as an internationally renowned tourist destination through integrated tourism strategies.
