RNA-seq results in adipose tissues of fat-specific Mecp2 knockout mice

Fat-specific knockout of Mecp2 results in downregulation of adipogenesis genes and upregulation of theromgenesis genes Fat-specific Mecp2 knockout male mice (Mecp2 Adi KO) and their age-, sex- matched control mice were fed with normal chow diet (NCD) and maintained in standard housing conditions. For each experimental group, two biological replicates of RNA samples were sent for RNA-seq. Each sample consists of a pool of RNAs extracted from inguinal adipose tissue or brown adipose tissue of 3 different mice.
Mecp2脂肪组织特异性敲除可导致脂肪生成(adipogenesis)基因表达下调,同时使产热(thermogenesis)基因表达上调。本研究构建的脂肪组织特异性Mecp2敲除雄性小鼠(Mecp2 Adi KO)及其同年龄、同性别匹配的对照小鼠,均饲喂正常饲料(normal chow diet, NCD),并在标准饲养条件下饲养。针对每个实验组,均制备两份生物学重复的RNA样本并送往进行RNA测序(RNA-seq)。每份样本混合了3只不同小鼠的腹股沟脂肪组织(inguinal adipose tissue)或棕色脂肪组织(brown adipose tissue)中提取的总RNA。
