METHODOLOGY FOR DEVELOPING READING LITERACY IN PRIMARY EDUCATION (BASED ON 4K AND PIRLS RESEARCH)

This article analyzes the reforms implemented in the primary education system of Uzbekistan, specifically focusing on the development of reading literacy based on the "4C" model (collaboration, communication, creative thinking, and critical thinking) and the requirements of the international PIRLS assessment. The article examines the four levels of reading comprehension evaluated by PIRLS, the initial results of Uzbekistan in this field, and the identified challenges. Furthermore, it provides effective pedagogical recommendations and interactive reading strategies aimed at enhancing primary school students' skills in text analysis, information processing, and critical evaluation.
