This study uses simulations to explore D” flow, rock deformation, and seismic anisotropy. Results show strong deformation in D”, consistent with observed seismic anisotropy. Deformation strength increases with depth, particularly beneath the Central Pacific and Africa. Our findings align with anisotropy observations, advancing understanding of the D” layer dynamics.The CitcomS.tar.gz is the source code, the input.tar contains the input files for 7 cases, the initial_condition contains the initial temperature and composition conditions for each case, and the Lietal-2024-JGR-revision2 is the data for Figure 1-13.After download the Lietal-2024-JGR-revision2, unzip it, then you will find a series of subfolders named as Figure. Go into each folder, and run the Figure*.sh bash script, you will get a pdf file for the figure used in the paper.
