We assess the microbiome changes in patients undergoing faecal microbiota transplantation for ulcerative colitis. The fungal component of the microbiota was amplified using ITS amplicon sequencing (ITS2 region).We report outcomes our randomised, blinded, placebo-controlled clinical trial of patients who received lyophilised FMT for ulcerative colitis and characterise bacteriome and mycobiome changes associated with therapeutic outcomes following FMT.
