16S rRNA amplicons from fish farm for lump fish Raw sequence reads

We have monitored bacterial load in a fish farm for lumpfish during normal operational conditions using 16S rRNA gene amplicon libraries and Ion Torrent sequencing technology. The study includes frequent and exhaustive sampling of water, biofilm and fish, egg, and inlet water and drain pipes. New knowledge about the bacterial load in the rearing industry is required for sustainable lump fish production, and the method can be a tool for detecting development of an unhealthy bacterial environment for the fish.
