The program “Developing neighbourhoods for the future” is a municipal action programme launched by the City of Bremen in 1998 to counter an increasing division of urban society. It is seen as part of a long-term integrated urban development policy, which bundles several programmes to promote neighbourhoods in their development. In the Old Centre Blumenthal, Blockdiek and Marßel, the program was used as flanking.
