These files contain the output of the polar specialized atmospheric river detection algorithm as described in Wille et al. (2021: https://doi.org/10.1029/2020JD033788). The algorithm has been run using vIVT (meridonal component of integrated vapor transport) provided by ERA5 and MERRA2 spanning the period of 1980-2023. Each file contains binary information indiciting where an atmospheric river has been detected for each 3-hour timestep.
