Rail profile on main tracks

Kilometres of main tracks based on rail profile since 2006. The most frequently encountered profiles on main track are 50E2 (50kg per metre) and 60E1 (60kg per metre). As the rails are renewed, the old profiles are replaced by the 60E1 profile, which has more favourable purchasing conditions and better track performance (better longevity, less tendency to rail breaks). The current name of the profiles comes from the European standards.
