LST Lakes for forest fire flights

The county administrative boards’ layers over lakes are suitable for scooping with forest fire aircraft, aircraft and helicopters. The lakes are a selection (about 40000 pcs) where about 3600 are theoretically possible to use for aircraft scanning. Then enter each county based on visual inspection of orthophotos and other basic data if the lakes are suitable for which the pilot licence type (alpha, bravo, charlie) and whether they are suitable for scooping by helicopter. The lakes have also been classified if they concern protected nature such as a national park, nature reserve, nature 2000, animal and plant health, prohibition of access, water protection, species protection, etc. Depth from SMHI’s lake register as well as an index on their lobbies.
