资源简介:
The dataset includes data collected as part of a study on recovery strategies to improve the performance of Latvian martial arts (Taekwondo) athletes. The study compares post-exercise methods: cryosauna/cold-water immersion and foam rolling. The dataset consists of seven separate but interconnected CSV files (workbooks) that share a consistent formatting structure. These files show the athletes' performance readiness as pre- and post-test results, including demographic data, the Latvian recovery-stress questionnaire (RESTQ), the determination test (DT) from the Vienna test system, delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS), the countermovement jump (CMJ), muscle function testing of the lower limbs with an Isokinetic dynamometer, and the modified taekwondo anaerobic intermittent kick test (TAIKT).
The study aims to analyze and compare the effects of recovery strategies (cryosauna/cold-water immersion and foam rolling) on performance readiness in well-trained taekwondo athletes before competition. The results provide a scientific foundation and can guide future research into the mechanisms underlying post-exercise recovery methods and their effects on athletes' performance.
