VPRS 16875 Dame Grace Cumming - Personal Papers Pertaining to the Royal Children's Hospital

Dame Grace Cuming was Vice President of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Committee of Management from 1979 to 1985 and Honorary Secretary in 1974-1975 and again in 1978-1979. She was also President of the Volunteer Service from 1966 to 1980.The papers in this series include many speeches given, correspondence, invitations received and programs to RCH events over which Dame Grace Cuming presided or at which she was invited to speak in her many capacities.Prior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Archives. They were part of RCH accession number 2006/0015. Note that two formal photographs of the Committee of Management (1982/1983) that were part of this accession have been retained by the RCH Archives. Also, copies of the publication 'RCH Newsletter' (Easter 1979 to November 1980) that were also part of this accession were removed by the RCH Archives prior to transfer and placed with another accession - the whereabouts of these newsletters is still to be confirmed as of June 2013.
