Composition for clarinet and prepared string orchestra, 15mins. Commissioned by Ilan volkov and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra Orchestra for Tectonics Festival Glasgow. The piece focusses on indeterminacy: using unstable clarinet multiphonics with exploratory performance processes, non-standard string harmonic positions, low strings use string-coupling preparations.
