This study aimed to evaluate the transciptome of a parent (ATCC 700669) and mutant strain of Streptococcus pneumoniae. The zomB gene (locus tag SPN23F12470) was knocked out of the ATCC 700669 strain, replacing with an erythromycin resistance cassette.The transcriptome was evaluated by RNA-sequencing from overnight cultures to identify differentially expressed genes.
