Climatic Data of Tropical Rainforests of Sri Lanka

This data set includes the monthly means of maximum, minimum and mean air temperatures of ten selected tropical rainforest plots in Sri Lanka along a wide altitudinal gradient (i.e. from 117 m to 2132 m above mean sea level) for the period from January 1961 to December 2018. The data set also includes monthly total rainfall for the same set of locations and the time period along with the diurnal temperature range (DTR) calculated as the difference between maximum and minimum temperature. In addition, the data set includes the monthly and annual mean solar irradiance data for the 1970-2000 period.
