资源简介:
Evaluate and improve methods for analyzing recurrent event data. Heart failure is a condition where the heart doesn't pump blood effectively, affecting millions of people worldwide. For many patients, recurrent hospital visits occur, especially shortly after their first stay, signaling worsening health. Current research methods often assume the risk of recurrent events does not increase or decrease with the occurrence of the events, however, individuals who have experienced an event are often more likely to have it again, such as heart failure patients being admitted to hospital again and again. It may lead to inaccurate conclusions about the effectiveness of treatments. This study aims to test and compare different ways of analyzing recurrent hospitalizations. By improving how we analyze these events, researchers hope to provide more accurate insights into heart failure treatments, helping doctors and patients make better decisions and ultimately improving care for millions of people affected by this condition.
