Identification of specific sequences that discriminate between a Lawsonia intracellularis live attenuated Enterisol vaccine and field isolates Genome sequencing and assembly

The most widely used commercial vaccine is a modified-live vaccine Enterisol that is delivered orally to pigs and offer some degree of protection. The genetic basis behind the attenuation of the vaccine strain is not understood. The aim of this work is to conduct a comprehensive genomic comparison of a live-attenuated vaccine Enterisol and pathogenic strains of US and EU.
