Improving connectivity from Historic Parramatta Park to Parramatta Lake: Site 2

This project aligns itself with the Parramatta Trust Act and looks to deliver significant environmental improvements and enhance community historical knowledge about the World Heritage listed Old Government House and Domain. This project looks to improve and maintain parklands surrounding the Old Government House. The project will improve the habitat buffer at the southern end of the park and improve heritage parklands by removing invasive weeds, maintain heritage views, manage erosion along the Parramatta River, collect seeds, provide vital understory habitat for endangered birds, and the park's increasing satellite population of Grey-headed Flying-fox. This habitat will also draw bats away from the Old Government House and aid with its protection.
