Genomic Profiling of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis using Next Generation Sequencing

Thyroid disorder is the most common endocrine disorder. Autoimmune diseases, including autoimmune thyroiditis, are increasing in incidence. In particular, Hashimoto's thyroiditis and papillary thyroid cancer are increasing in incidence in iodine-replete Southern India. Whereas, endemic goiter related to iodine deficiency is more common in Northern India. Genomic profiling of Hashimoto's thyroiditis and its putative relationship with cancer is inadequately studied. Here, we study the molecular profile of patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis using Next Generation Sequencing.
