The Young Citizens (Hamburg Cohort Analysis, Year 1946)

Situation in life, satisfaction with education level achieved, views
about education, understanding of marriage as well as attitude to
political and personal questions among 23-year-olds in Hamburg.

Topics: The content of the survey is largely identical to ZA Study No.
0766: detailed determinations of school and vocational training;
evaluation of training and professional history; earlier and current
desired occupation; reasons for change of occupation; attitude to
employment of the wife; conversations with spouse about occupation
questions; attitude to women superiors; judgement on employment
preparation by the school; preferred marriage age and attitude to an
age difference of the partners; attitude to a church wedding; desired
number of children; preferred child-raising goals and evaluation of
child-raising style of parents; attendance of parents courses; personal
attitude and attitude of one´s parents on authoritarian child-raising;
characterization of punishments experienced oneself and child-raising
in general; understanding of one´s role of the spouses; attitude to
laws on abortion and extra-marital sexual intercourse; expected
influence of status of parents on social chances of children;
possibility and desirability of elimination of social differences;
specification of social class of certain occupations; self-assessment
of social class and assessment of social class of parents and
