Bacillus subtilis Genome sequencing

Bacillus subtilis BS18-1 is a microorganism with antimicrobial activity that was isolated from fairy bean in northern Anhui province. In order to comprehensively analyze the genomic characteristics of BS18-1, whole-genome sequencing was performed using both Illumina next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology and PacBio third-generation high-throughput sequencing platform. This approach enabled the acquisition of key genomic information, including gene function annotation, classification, phylogenetic evolution, and insights into secondary metabolites produced by the strain.
