With over 250 hardcopy and electronic sources, our 24-month file is constantly updated with the freshest and most frequent feeds coming from a utility data provider who reports daily connections and disconnections. Since utilities are typically set up before other transactions, our records have an unprecedented speed-to-market rate of just two days from the discovery date. Every record from our utility source comes with a phone number. Our data includes state, county, and municipal filings for licenses, tax permits, incorporations, doing business as (DBA), and more.

Sourcing: New Business information reaches our database monthly, weekly, and daily through various channels such as electronic sources, printed reports, and personal courthouse visits. Other sources, including business journals, newspapers, and press releases, are also utilized. On average, about 15% of new businesses have phone numbers in our database.

All sources are brought together and made available as “hot leads” to our customers. The raw data is then passed through address standardization, company name standardization, industry assignment, deduping, and is matched against our file of existing businesses. Those with phone numbers are called to verify their status as a new business as well as confirm firmographic information previously gathered. This process takes an additional two to three weeks and produces a highly qualified new business lead.

Data Quality: We understand the importance of reliable and accurate data for your business's growth. That's why Data Axle invests over $20 million annually and employs more than 300 full-time researchers to ensure that our records are up-to-date and accurate. To maintain high levels of accuracy, we follow strict processes for the selection of our human resources, professional training, rewards for quality, and rigorous quality control. We also use thousands of proprietary software programs to operate our compilation, enhancement, and quality assurance processes.

Our compilation management team performs quality checks on up to 7% of our daily output, and we have a dedicated daily checking unit that reviews the work produced by our compilers and tele-verification agents. Our employees are incentivized to achieve accuracy above 99%, and financial bonuses are awarded to those who meet or exceed this standard.
