Supporting data are provided in an .xlsx file. The first spreadsheet in the file contains root and shoot dry weight (g) data for both corn and tomato; the second spreadsheet contains seed germination data for both corn and tomato. Germination data are presented as the percent and mean days to germination for the 4 seeds per petri dish (3 petri dishes per erythritol treatment group per crop species). (XLSX)
