Data from: From leaves to defenders: how the amount and dispersion of leaf damage affect extrafloral nectar production and ant-mediated protection in wild cotton

This repository contains three data files and one R script. A full description of all variables, units, and treatment codes can be found in the "Readme - From leaves to defenders.md" file. data_exp2: Raw data for extrafloral nectar (EFN), including volume, sugar amount, and proportion of active nectaries. data_exp2_campo.csv: Raw data on ant patrolling (number of ants per plant). data_exp2_depre.csv: Raw data on predation events by ants on A. arguillacea larvae. SCRIPT-From-Leaves-to-defenders: The R script used to perform all statistical analyses presented in the manuscript. Readme - From leaves to defenders.md : A plain text file explaining all column headers, units, and factor levels for each dataset.
