Core isolates from stem xylem sap of maize

These isolates obtained from maize xylem sap and share sequence identity with 14 core OTUs consistently detected in vascular tissue samples at six long-term fertilization experiments across a wide range of soil types, climate zones and varieties. They also were confirmed to be actively fixing nitrogen or assisting in biological nitrogen fixation (BNF).
