Microsatellite instability analysis of tumours can be used to identify patients who have Lynch syndrome and to guide therapy and acute management. Microsatellite instability analysis typically uses mononucleotide repeat markers. Here, we explore tetranucleotide repeat instability in tumours and controls using amplicon sequencing.
