Eight existing pangolins and our research identified the ninth pangolin species Raw sequence reads

Our results provide the first consistent and compelling genomic evidence for a previously unrecognized distinct genetic lineage from all the eight currently known pangolin species, justifying its allocation as a new pangolin species, which becomes the ninth pangolin species and the fifth Asian pangolin (Manis sp.).
