A systematic study of Hoplocampinae

A new genus with a new species of the tribe Hoplocampini of Hoplocampinae is described from China: <i>Analcellicampa xanthosoma</i> Wei &amp; Niu, gen. et sp. nov. <i>Hoplocampa danfengensis </i>G. Xiao, 1994 is designed as the type species of the new genus. <i>Analcellicampa danfengensis </i>(G. Xiao) is a new combination and is briefly described and illustrated. A key to genera of Hoplocampinae is provided. The almost complete mitochondrial genome of <i>A. xanthosoma</i> has been obtained with length of 14,820 bp and a set of 34 genes (19 tRNAs, 13 PCGs, 2 rRNAs). The gene order of the 34 genes as well as the non-coding region (control region) was the same as ancestral type. All protein-coding genes (PCGs) were initiated by ATN codons, and ended with TAA or T as a stop codon. All tRNAs had a typical clover-leaf secondary structure, except <i>trnS1</i>. Helix 991 of <i>rrnS</i> and Helix 47 of <i>rrnL</i> were redundant. Helix 563 of <i>rrnL</i> was highly conserved. Phylogenetic reconstruction based on mitochondrial genomes showed similarly high support (100%) from both BI analyses and ML analyses on the result that <i>A. xanthosoma</i> was the sister group to <i>Monocellicampa pruni</i>. We suggested that <i>A. xanthosoma</i> belongs to the tribe Hoplocampini of Hoplocampinae as well as <i>M. pruni</i>.<b></b>
