Evolution of DNA methylation in Neurospora species. Neurospora species

This BioProject contains methylome and mRNA data related to the paper Hosseini, et al., “Selfish genetic elements versus the host genome: antagonistic coevolution drives the evolution of DNA methylation in Neurospora”.We generated high quality genome-wide DNA methylation and transcriptomics data from five closely related Neurospora species to study the evolution of methylation as a genome defense mechanism in Neurospora.
