The Global Roads Open Access Data Set Version 1 (gROADSv1) provides road information with global coverage. This dataset harmonizes road data available from public sources for each country. The dataset is a composite of road information during 1980 to 2010, depending on the available data for each country. The gROADSv1 dataset provides road locations (lines) and their harmonized functional classifications (highway, primary road, secondary road, tertiary road, local road, trail, private road).
