Supporting data for "A Grounded Theory of Community Package Maintenance Organizations"

This dataset contains the public documents (CPMO documentation, public discussions, etc.) that we have coded for the purpose of generating our grounded theory of CPMOs.

As an overview, a mindmap is provided (cpmo.mm) that relates the categories used in the theory presented in the article to the quotes extracted from the documents.

Software
The documents can be opened with LibreOffice (tested version: 7.3.7.2).

The mindmap can be opened with Freeplane (tested version: 1.19.14).

To ease viewing the mindmap, SVG and HTML exports are provided as well.

License
The data generated by the authors is licensed under CC-BY 4.0. Note that the license does not apply to the coded documents, which are the property of their respective authors.

Detailed contents
The initial-codes/ folder contains documents with annotations from the initial coding phase.

The focused-codes/ folder contains documents with annotations from the focused coding phase.

Documents are named using the following convention:

[documentidentifier]-[tz|jrf|common].fodt

Documents marked as tz were coded by the first author.
Documents marked as jrf were coded by the second author.
Documents marked as common were obtained collaboratively after discussing the codes from one of the authors or comparing the codes from both authors.

When it exists, the common version is the one that was refined throughout the study and used to generate the theory in the paper.
