For each crop experiment, the following information is given: date sown, description, number, whence received, previous crop, area, quantity, fertilizers applied, when germinated and harvested, results, yield per acre / plot, and any remarks. In some cases, the purpose of the experiment is also noted.Some of the crop varieties tested include wheat, lucerne, peas, melons, beans, lettuce, leeks, turnips, peppers, hops, cotton, barley, tobacco, and linseed. There are also results recorded from ploughing and mulching experiments.Within the volume, the experiments concerning the same variety of plant are usually grouped together.
