This report outlines work as a graduate research assistant during the academic
year 2009-2010, and serves as a collection of materials related to the Rio Hondo
watershed of New Mexico. The report includes information on climate change and water
resources globally and locally, cultural and evniromental issues surrounding
acequias and climate changes, an inventory of Rio Hondo watershed maps, climate
model predictions, adaptation and mitigation measures to combat potential negative
effects of climate change on water supply, and conclusions.
