Digital Archive from a Geophysical Survey at Wherwell Solar Farm, Wherwell, Hampshire 2022

This collection comprises geophysics data and georeferenced raster images from an archaeological geophysical survey at the proposed site of Wherwell Solar Farm, to the north of Wherwell, in Hampshire. The survey was undertaken by MOLA Northampton from 5th to 14th September 2022.
The survey identified one very large, ditched enclosure, of broadly oval form, within which was a scatter of pits. The date of these remains could not be determined. The survey also detected a feature of uncertain character, which resembled part of a large prehistoric ring ditch but may have had a geological cause.
