Weather forecast Sachsen

This service provides up-to-date weather forecast information for the state of Saxony and neighbouring areas. The data is recalculated every 6 hours by the numerical prediction model WRF-EMS (The Weather Research and Forecast Environmental Modeling System) in the Geoinformatik laboratory of the Dresden University of Applied Sciences. It will be for a Forecast duration of 48 hours weather maps published for the following parameters: — Temperature at 2 m height — Amount of precipitation — Wind direction and wind speed at 10 m altitude — Relative humidity — Cloud cover — Snow depth — Sea level atmospheric pressure To calculate the forecast data, global meteorological model data from the American Weather Service (NOAA) as well as surface data from the Geological Service USA (USGS) used. In addition, for 48 hours, station-based forecast data are provided as pictograms of the Norwegian weather service yr.no. Additional meteograms can be queried via a material data query.
