The Impact of a Co-Facilitated Dementia Education Program

Memory loss is considered the biggest health concern by older adults, but many are unaware of the causes,impacts, and supports available to reduce risk or manage symptoms. To address this, Western Sydney University researchers formed a network with local Councils, service providers and community members to provide education to communities, health professionals, planners, council officers, and policy decision-makers. This project aims to understand how memory loss is perceived by the general public, and to deliver student co-facilitated educational programs that increase awareness about age-related brain changes and the support available for individuals living with memory loss.
This dataset contains excel spreadsheets recording data from participants who completed the dementia knowledge assessment scale and dementia diagnosis attitude scale.
