The manuscript deals with the tribological study of a TaN film with the inclusión of Zr produced by DC magnetron co-sputtering at two different power applied to Zr target and deposited on TiAlV alloy. We believe that the paper's contents are original and relevant to the field of study of ternary nitride films to improve mechanical, chemical, and tribological properties. Furthermore, we are confident that this paper would be helpful as a reference for the future design of coatings applied in different fields.
