16S amplicon sequence analysis of saliva from patients with pediatric Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis compared with Ulcerative Colitis and healthy controls

Patients with pediatric Primary Sclesrosing Cholangitis (PSC) compared with Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and healthy controls. After purifying the bacterial DNA from sample saliva, the 16S rDNA V1-V2 region was sequenced for analysis of the bacterial communities. There were thirteen PSC patients and one UC patient who were taking salazosulfapyridine (SASP).
