A work vehicle is provided which has an adaptive light system controlled by an operator at an operator station， as well as an attachment and a method for illuminating a work area. The system comprises at least one light element that is configured to illuminate at least part of a work area， a servomotor coupled to at least one light element that is configured to position at least one light element relative to the operator station， and a control unit in communication with the servomotor and， based on a control position of the operator and a position of the implement， is configured to control the position of at least one light element via the servomotor.
