Partners to people suffering from epilepsy, 2009

The focus of this study is the challenges which partners of epileptics face. This study is based on a survey which examines both living conditions and the psychological reactions of the partner. When possible, comparisons have been made with comparable groups of the Danish population. The partner study terminates a number of studies carried out by the Danish Epilepsy Association throughout the last few years. The previous studies have focused on the living conditions of adult, children and adolescent epileptics. The partner study shows what it is like to live with an epileptic and how the situation affects the couple. The questionnaire has been sent to 1221 members of the Danish Epilepsy Association.
