资源简介:
Raw data for "Functional
responses to climate change may increase invasive
potential of Carpobrotus edulis" published in the American Journal
of Botany (2021). The data set contains (A) the growth measurements: relative
growth rate, (RGR [year−1]), total dry mass (g), root dry mass (g),
shoot dry mass (g), and root to shoot ratio (RSR), (B) the composition of plant
tissues: % N, δ15N (‰), % C,
Δ13C (‰), C/N, and the seasonal measurements
throughout the experiment of the Maximum Quantum Yield (Fv/Fm),
Photochemical Reflectance Index (PRI531), Water Index (WI900),
Structural Independent Pigment Index (SIPI), Yellowness Index (YI), and Red
Edge Index (λ RE), (C) the chlorophyll contents (ChlT, Chl a, Chl
b, Chl a/b, Car/ ChlT in
nmol/cm2), xanthophyll pigments (Violaxanthin [Vx], Antheraxanthin
[Ax], and Zeaxanthin [Zx], total xanthophyll contents [VAZ], de-epoxidation
state of the xanthophyll cycle [DPS], Lutein and β-Carotene in mmol/mol ChlT),
stress-related phytohormones (Abscisic acid [ABA], jasmonic acid [JA],
salicylic acid [SA] in ppb: ng/gFW), tocopherols content (α-TOC and ɤ-TOC in
nmol/gFW), and the degree of lipid peroxidation (in µmol H2O2eq/gFW),
and (D) the survivorship of Carpobrotus edulis plants from four native
(South African) and four invasive (NW Iberian Peninsula) populations, grown under control, increased temperature,
reduced rainfall, and increased temperature with reduced rainfall conditions, from the start (15 September 2015) to the end of the experiment (15 November 2016). Climate
conditions were manipulated
in a field plot located on the island of Sálvora (NW Iberian Peninsula).
